About The Position

Match Charter Public School is seeking a full-time Arts Teacher to join their PreK-12 school in Boston. Requirements

At least 1-3 years prior experience as a Visual or Performing Arts teacher
Hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or meet licensure requirements within a year of date of hire
Articulate a clear vision for a middle school Visual or Performing Arts curriculum
Demonstrate skill in designing and delivering lessons
Demonstrate skill in building effective relationships with students and colleagues
Hold a deep belief that all students can and will succeed
Possess a desire to continually improve their practice as an educator by taking and implementing feedback

Responsibilities

Design curriculum and teach middle school Arts classes
Teach classes at multiple grade levels
Prepare students to perform at community meetings throughout the year
Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there
Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming
Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time
Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
