About The Position

Berkeley Preparatory School's Athletic Department is seeking a Head Coach for our Middle Division (6th–8th grade) volleyball team. The ideal candidate will have volleyball coaching experience and a strong knowledge of the sport. Coaches must attend every practice and athletic contest for the duration of the season. Practices are held Monday–Friday, approximately 3:30–6:00 PM, and games are held on varying days and times. The season runs from August 25 (first day of school) through mid-October. A stipend is offered for this part-time, seasonal position. All inquiries and nominations are kept confidential.

Requirements

• Volleyball coaching experience
• Strong knowledge of the sport
• Complete all required courses and certifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily practice plans
• Provide constructive feedback to athletes
• Teach fundamental volleyball skills
• Maintain consistent, attentive supervision of student-athletes
• Stay current on sport rules and guidelines
• Complete all required courses and certifications
• Model excellent sportsmanship
• Communicate clearly and consistently with student-athletes and their families
• Collaborate with other volleyball coaches
• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture
