About The Position

Kelloggsville Middle School is seeking a Middle School Volleyball Coach for the 2026-27 School Year. The coach will be responsible for instructing and leading student athletes in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The role requires knowledge of coaching strategies, MHSAA rules, and motivational techniques, serving as a positive role model. Effective communication and the ability to build positive relationships with student athletes, parents, staff, and the community are essential. The district is committed to equity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Coaching experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of coaching strategies and methods.
  • Ability to instruct and lead student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for individual and team success.
  • Knowledge of MHSAA rules and standards.
  • Knowledge of and use of a variety of motivational techniques and serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instruction and actions.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with student athletes.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.
  • Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District.
  • Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
