About The Position

We are looking for a Middle Backend Developer specializing in Java and/or Kotlin to work on a Big Data platform and its tools. The project focuses on ingesting and delivering data from business systems to an analytical data warehouse, maintaining and optimizing data storage, and integrating analytics services and tools into the data platform.

The role offers involvement throughout the development lifecycle, from design to deployment, and the opportunity to influence technical and architectural decisions. The developer will work with Big Data technologies and distributed systems and will have opportunities to learn and grow with guidance from the Tech Lead. The team offers flexible schedules and the opportunity to work remotely.

Requirements

• Experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• Interest in contributing to technical discussions, design decisions, and architecture.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, receive feedback, and grow with guidance from the Tech Lead.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Rust and/or Python.
• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience with S3-compatible object storage.
• Experience with distributed systems and Big Data technologies.
