About The Position

The Recruiter/ Advisor will be responsible for all the recruitment activities for the Mid Missouri Region along with the academic advising responsibilities for students in the teacher education program for the same areas. This will require work within the St. Robert and or Fort Leonard Wood locations along with travel from Lebanon to Rolla and within 60-90 minutes north and south of St. Robert. Additionally, the Recruiter/Advisor will create and implement strategic and tactical directives to grow enrollment and improve retention as aligned with established goals, achieve student success, and develop corporate and community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a higher education, business, or related field and 3-5 years related experience in which the candidate has been responsible for all the functional and strategic aspects of overseeing a campus, center, site, or profit center; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization and external constituents.
  • Experience in business development and building education partnerships.
  • Ability to solve problems and to think critically and independently for organizing and completing workload.
  • Ability to set goals, to prioritize, and organize tasks and workload in order to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Experience working with military personnel and their families to support career and aspirational goals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, faculty, military personnel, regulatory agencies, and members of the business and academic community.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and work well in stressful situations in a calm, orderly, and accurate manner.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and other software programs for communicating, creating, and maintaining spreadsheets, reports preparation and the development of effective presentations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and be willing to travel for business and industry outreach.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience preferred managing a satellite campus location, or other department within higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute campus strategic enrollment plan to achieve enrollment and retention goals as defined by the annual strategic plan for DruryGO.
  • Work with the Regional Director and Executive Vice President on initiatives associated with recruitment, admissions, student retention, and financial planning programs and contribute to organizational leadership and effectiveness of the campus to promote overall enrollment growth and sustainability.
  • Develop and establish education partnerships with local and regional business and industry to meet the needs of the rapidly changing market.
  • Develop a community engagement plan with the purpose of increasing enrollment of Drury academic programs and developing relationships with strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with university marketing team to develop local marketing strategies for their region for the promotion of academic program offerings.
  • Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with K-12 schools and overseeing the collaborative process between the district personnel and the university faculty.
  • Attending recruitment events including but not limited to high school college/career fairs, transfer fairs, and community events.
  • Creating and executing strategic recruiting plans aimed at student enrollment
  • Coordinating student practicum placements by compiling the applications, forwarding materials to partner schools for placement, and notifying students and instructors of the placement and requirements.
  • Coordinates the process for Mid-Missouri student teaching applications and placement for student teaching.
  • Verifies completion of prerequisites and monitors progress for approval.
  • Identify employee skills strengths and opportunities, provide timely coaching and feedback, and model institutional leadership expectations.
  • Oversee the business operations of the campus, including effective budget management.
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of the campus facilities.
  • Advise additional St. Robert students for all their academic needs, as well as providing financial aid support as needed.
  • Perform all job responsibilities required as the Coordinator of Field and Clinical Experience for the Education Department.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
