Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant for a C2C contract opportunity based in San Antonio, Texas. The consultant will support the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions, working closely with business stakeholders to understand financial processes, gather requirements, and deliver functional solutions. This is a hands-on, project-driven role requiring the ability to work independently. The engagement is C2C and is expected to last 6+ months. The start date is ASAP. The work arrangement is described as on-site / hybrid.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong functional expertise in core Finance modules.
- Proven experience in D365 Finance implementations and configurations.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial business processes.
- Experience with requirements gathering, functional design, and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of data migration, integrations, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting testing activities, including UAT.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within project deadlines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certifications.
- Experience with US financial processes, tax requirements, and localisation.
- Knowledge of Power BI and financial reporting.
- Experience with full-cycle D365 Finance implementations.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Work with finance stakeholders to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Configure core Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, and Fixed Assets.
- Conduct functional workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Prepare functional specifications, solution designs, and process documentation.
- Support data migration, system integration, and validation activities.
- Coordinate and execute functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot functional issues and provide effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and training to end users.
- Collaborate with technical teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
