About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer to design, develop, customise, integrate, and maintain Dynamics 365 applications that meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency. The role works closely with solution architects, functional consultants, business analysts, and technical stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, secure, and high-performing business applications. The developer will work across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure services, and enterprise integrations. Responsibilities span custom development, application configuration, data migration, DevOps and application lifecycle management, testing, troubleshooting, support, and ongoing enhancements. The position is listed as a 6 to 12 month contract.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
5–8 years of overall software development experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 development experience.
Proven experience developing and customising Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, including Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service.
Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, and Dataverse.
Practical experience developing plugins, custom APIs, and complex business logic.
Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with third-party and enterprise applications.
Good understanding of Microsoft Power Platform and Azure integration services.
Experience with application deployment, environment management, and DevOps practices.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
Experience or demonstrated practical skills with Dataverse tables, relationships, security, Web API, and custom APIs; Power Apps and Power Automate; REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and OAuth 2.0; Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and API Management; SQL Server, FetchXML, and Dataverse querying; Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and solution management; and SSIS, KingswaySoft, Dataflows, or equivalent migration tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, technical design and development skills, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Azure.
Experience with Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio and AI-enabled business solutions.
Experience with Azure API Management and event-driven architecture.
Understanding of Dynamics 365 security architecture, including business units, teams, and security roles.
Experience with automated testing and performance monitoring.
Exposure to enterprise-scale Dynamics 365 implementation and transformation programmes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, customise, and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications to meet business and technical requirements.
Develop plugins, custom workflow activities, custom APIs, business rules, custom actions, and other platform extensions.
Configure and customise Dataverse tables, relationships, forms, views, dashboards, and business process flows.
Develop client-side customisations using JavaScript and TypeScript, and create reusable components in line with Microsoft-recommended standards.
Develop and maintain Model-Driven and Canvas Power Apps, Power Automate processes, and PCF components.
Integrate Power Platform capabilities with Dynamics 365 and other enterprise applications.
Design, develop, and support integrations between Dynamics 365 and external applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, and Azure integration services.
Implement real-time and asynchronous integration patterns and ensure secure, reliable, efficient data exchange.
Support data migration from legacy applications; develop import, export, transformation, validation, mapping, and cleansing processes; and troubleshoot migration and synchronisation issues.
Manage Dynamics 365 solutions across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.
Use Azure DevOps and Git for source control, build automation, release management, and CI/CD pipelines.
Implement managed and unmanaged solution strategies and follow Power Platform ALM best practices.
Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance optimisation; support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployments.
Investigate technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, implement fixes, provide ongoing technical support, and deliver application enhancements.
Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards.
Deliver scalable, maintainable solutions, effective integrations and deployments, improved application performance and stability, and a positive user experience.
