About The Position

The Micro Operator is a front-line member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team, supporting production processes that add value and quality to raw materials and create high-quality final products. The role involves operating machinery and equipment and packaging finished products. It is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, which serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. The listed schedule is third shift, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed. Pay is $25.85 per hour, plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, and respectful conduct.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety processes and insist on safe practices by oneself and others.
• Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Multitask and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow quality standards and standard operating procedures during production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with and follow instructions from Leads and Management to complete daily work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
