About The Position

The Micro Operator is a front-line member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team, performing production processes that add value and quality to raw materials and help create finished products. The role involves operating machinery and equipment and packaging final products. It is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, which serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States.

The position pays $25.95 per hour plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential. The scheduled shift is 3rd shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills, solve problems, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a respectful approach.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety processes and insist that self and others follow safe practices.
• Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Multitask and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow quality standards and standard operating procedures during production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with and follow instructions from Leads and Management to complete daily work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
