About The Position

Operates machines and production equipment independently in a manufacturing environment, meeting quality and productivity requirements while working safely. May instruct or coach other team members.

Requirements

High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience that meets applicable regulations.
The position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

Stop work and immediately report major injury hazards; report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, and hazards.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, policies, procedures, and regulations; use appropriate personal protective equipment; and participate in HSE training.
Promote interdependence, correct hazards within personal control and capabilities, and minimize the negative environmental impact of work.
Follow applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures; perform quality inspections; and identify and control non-conforming material.
Independently operate equipment to manufacture and assemble products to the required characteristics and dimensions, meeting customer expectations and production goals.
Instruct and coach others and serve as an informal resource for less-capable team members.
Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, perform routine housekeeping and machine cleaning, and complete planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
Remain flexible and perform other duties as required to meet production goals.
Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to identify and maintain equipment needing repair.
Communicate effectively with the assigned team and support teams.
Complete training and personal development in line with business requirements.
Participate in efforts to improve quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.
