About The Position

As a Metrology Technician, you will help ensure equipment and instrumentation remain accurate, reliable, and compliant. You will perform and coordinate calibration and maintenance activities, maintain accurate documentation, troubleshoot equipment issues, and work closely with internal teams and external service providers. This is a hands-on technical role supporting quality and operational excellence within a regulated environment. This position is five days a week onsite in Germantown, Maryland, with two days each week based at the Frederick, Maryland site.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of experience in calibration, instrumentation maintenance, or equipment repair.
Good computer, organizational, written, and verbal English communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and customer orientation.
Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external service providers.

Nice To Haves

Technical or trade school education or a college degree.
Experience in a cGMP or regulated environment.
Experience with electronic calibration or maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

Perform calibration, testing, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of measurement equipment and instrumentation.
Maintain accurate calibration records in the electronic calibration maintenance management system and ensure activities are completed by required due dates.
Coordinate calibration schedules with equipment owners and oversee external service providers to ensure compliance with procedures.
Troubleshoot calibration and maintenance issues of moderate complexity and make necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacements.
Create and maintain SOPs and other technical documentation.
Ensure activities comply with applicable quality, cGMP, regulatory, and EHS requirements.
