About The Position

The Metrology Technician tests, calibrates, adjusts, cleans, and performs minor repairs on mechanical and optical measuring equipment and uniquely designed gauges, using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing methodology. The role also calibrates, adjusts, and maintains tools, gauges, specialized and engineering test equipment, production test positions, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, assemblies, and templates to meet manufacturing quality requirements. The technician performs mechanical calibration on materials and equipment fabricated to company drawings. This is an onsite, union-represented position in Tucson, Arizona, with working conditions and shift times subject to a collective bargaining agreement. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearances are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in metrology or calibration.
• Experience working from drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access clearance.
