About The Position

The Metrology Technician helps ensure equipment and instrumentation remain accurate, reliable, and compliant. This hands-on technical role supports quality and operational excellence in a regulated environment through calibration and maintenance activities, documentation, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and external service providers. The position is on site five days per week in Germantown, Maryland, with two days per week based at the Frederick, Maryland site.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of experience in calibration, instrumentation maintenance, or equipment repair.
Good computer, organizational, written English communication, and verbal English communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and customer orientation.
Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external service providers.

Nice To Haves

Technical/trade school or college degree.
Experience in a cGMP or regulated environment.
Experience with electronic calibration/maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

Perform calibration, testing, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of measurement equipment and instrumentation.
Maintain accurate calibration records in the electronic calibration maintenance management system and complete activities by required due dates.
Coordinate calibration schedules with equipment owners and oversee external service providers to ensure compliance with procedures.
Troubleshoot moderately complex calibration and maintenance issues and make necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacements.
Create and maintain SOPs and other technical documentation.
Ensure activities comply with applicable quality, cGMP, regulatory, and EHS requirements.
