About The Position

The Meter Technician diagnoses, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots water meter services while traveling throughout the Winchester, Tennessee service area. The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to meet daily production goals in a fast-paced field environment. Technicians drive to assigned customer sites, complete routes accurately and efficiently, communicate professionally with customers, and maintain digital documentation of completed work. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve encounters with animals or wildlife.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid, unexpired driver’s license.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Ability to walk more than five miles per day and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day.
Ability to carry up to 20 pounds of equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Comfort using handheld devices, computers, and digital technology.
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in the field.

Nice To Haves

Prior water, meter, utility, cable, or field technician experience.

Responsibilities

Drive extensively throughout the Winchester, Tennessee metro area to assigned customer sites.
