About The Position

Under general supervision, the Meter Reader Tier II performs duties involving reading, recording, and collecting data on utility meters. The position also leads, trains, and instructs employees in their work. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.
• Subject to Pipeline Alcohol and Drug Testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely and comply with applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Perform work for which they are qualified and trained in a manner that protects themselves, fellow employees, and the public from injury.
• Read, collect, and record meter data as assigned.
• Report unusual conditions and gas leaks.
• Check for unauthorized use and seal or reseal meters.
• Deliver notices to customer premises on assigned routes as needed.
• Drive a personal or Company vehicle.
• Obtain access to customer premises using keys or other arrangements.
• Maintain assigned routes.
• Follow meter-reading instructions while showing courtesy and consideration to customers and their property.
• Lead, train, and instruct employees in their work.
• Perform other duties relating to meter reading as assigned.
