About The Position

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Responsible for operation, repair, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspection of large volume meters, regulator stations, valves, odorizers, gas measurement instrumentation/telemetry, line heaters, pressure gauges, meter proving devices, and other related equipment and statistical data pertaining to gas measurement. Duties also include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating pressure transmitters, transducers, RTDs, RTUs, analyzers, and communication equipment. Responds to and assists with all gas-related emergencies according to Company policy and procedure. Maintains all related documentation to comply with company procedures and federal guidelines. Requirements

  • High school education with an Associate’s Degree in electronics, instrumentation, circuitry, or equivalent work experience acceptable to the Company.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electronics.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer and software skills.
  • Ability to read and understand grid maps and wiring diagrams.
  • Meter Inspector B meet all performance expectations.
  • Meter Inspector A must have two years of credited hours.
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to Pre-employment Drug Testing Policy and Background Check.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Operation, repair, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspection of large volume meters, regulator stations, valves, odorizer, gas measurement instrumentation/telemetry, line heaters, pressure gauges, meter proving devices, and other related equipment and statistical data pertaining to gas measurement.
  • Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating pressure transmitters, transducers, RTDs, RTUs, analyzers, and communication equipment.
  • Responding to and assisting with all gas-related emergencies according to Company policy and procedure.
  • Maintaining all related documentation to comply with company procedures and federal guidelines.
  • Performs calibrations and troubleshoots differential and electronic measurement equipment at all assigned facilities.
  • Troubleshoots, operates, and maintains all assigned gas quality instruments and related equipment including Unlimited Power Supply (UPS) systems, Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and telecommunication devices.
  • Performs or assists with the design and installation of new SCADA facilities.
  • Ensures proper operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Calibrates, inspects, maintains, and repairs gas regulating facilities.
