About The Position
The Metallus Internship Program is designed to integrate interns into the team, offering opportunities for skill growth, leadership development, and networking with managers and leaders. Requirements
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
Nice To Haves
- Preferred majors: Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related
- Statistical analysis skills
Responsibilities
- Perform steel cleanness evaluations centered around furnace slag carry over, efiner slag development, tundish slags and powders.
- Evaluate impacts to product caused by new equipment, refractory, or practices.
- Undertake projects aimed at limiting rework operations, such as focusing on bloom surface quality.
