About The Position

The Metallus Internship Program is designed to integrate interns into the team, offering opportunities for skill growth, leadership development, and networking with managers and leaders. The program provides real work experience in a team environment and supports career readiness through workshops on resume building and interview preparation. Interns will gain valuable experience that provides a competitive edge upon graduation in a casual work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
  • Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors: Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related
  • Statistical analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform steel cleanness evaluations centered around furnace slag carry over, efiner slag development, tundish slags and powders.
  • Evaluate impacts to product caused by new equipment, refractory, or practices.
  • Undertake projects aimed at limiting rework operations, such as focusing on bloom surface quality.
