Metallurgical Engineering Intern
About The Position
The Metallus Internship Program is designed to integrate interns into the team, offering opportunities for skill development, leadership growth, and networking with managers and leaders. The program provides real work experience in a team environment and supports career readiness through workshops on resume building and interview preparation. Interns will gain hands-on experience in daily quality operations within a steel manufacturing environment, contribute to high-impact projects focused on defect reduction and process improvement, and support initiatives to enhance value-added steel manufacturing processes and operational performance. This role will help develop practical problem-solving and quality management skills through real-world project work.
Requirements
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
Nice To Haves
- Preferred majors: Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related
Responsibilities
