About The Position

Taylor Metal Products is seeking a detail-oriented Metal Roofing and Siding Estimator to use AppliCad Roof Wizard Software to turn architectural drawings and site data into accurate 3D roof models and precise material and flashing lists for customer estimates. The role is based in Salem, Oregon, is full-time, and has a day shift schedule. The listed pay range is $23.00–$27.00 per hour. The estimator creates roof models from PDF blueprints, DWG files, or aerial images; conducts material takeoffs for metal panels, accessories, and underlayment; and simulates installation in the software to produce panel cutting lists and optimize material use. The position also coordinates with sales teams, project managers, and clients to confirm project details and clarify specifications. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening for safety-sensitive positions.

Requirements

Knowledge of commercial and steel building construction.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Competency in Excel, Word, and other software applications.

Strong math skills, including trigonometry.
