About The Position

Universal Windows Direct is seeking 1099 subcontractors for roofing and siding installation. The Installer is responsible for accurately and professionally installing products at job sites according to company procedures and to the customer’s satisfaction. The role also helps maintain Universal Windows Direct’s positive image, brand, and reputation. Installation experience with replacement windows is required because a majority of the company’s business is windows.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of installation experience.
• At least 5 years of carpentry, trim carpentry, construction, or in-home renovation experience.
• Experience with replacement windows.
• Ability to take accurate measurements using a tape measure, level, and combination square.
• Own equipment and ability to use power tools such as a drill and jigsaw.
• General liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance, or the ability to obtain them.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Reliable transportation for safely transporting products to work locations.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Clean, unmarked vehicle.
• All tools required for siding installation.
• Ability to provide proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide remodeling expertise in windows, doors, siding, and gutters.
• Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
• Respect customers’ property and leave the work area clean.
• Inform customers about the functionality, care, and upkeep of their new installations.
• Accurately complete and submit required paperwork, photos, and other documentation.
