About The Position

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to person for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. This role leads, trains, and coaches the team to meet AEO visual and brand standards, execute floorsets, maintain merchandising and marketing standards, and keep the store guest-ready through effective replenishment. The position also serves as a key Leader on Duty, contributing to sales performance, guest experience, team development, and store operations while representing AEO’s values.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, attention to detail, strong prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.
• General understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a strong guest experience.
• Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to the store’s financial success.
• Partner with the Store Team Leader on short- and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs.
• Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and maintain AEO Brand Standards.
• Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment; identify merchandising opportunities and take action.
• Motivate and inspire the team, model leadership, and hold associates accountable to customer service standards.
• Recruit and hire talent to keep the store staffed for business needs; train and develop associates.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching, team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews; support associate engagement.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout store zones, and keep Fitting Rooms guest-ready.
• Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
