About The Position

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is seeking a Merchandising Swing Representative for its Retail Chain Sales Division. This full-time position involves servicing multiple accounts in and around Lansing, Michigan. The role is responsible for the timely stocking and product handling of all GLWAS merchandise, including packing out orders, pricing bottles, building displays, resetting shelf and cold box schematics, implementing signage, rotating products, fronting, dusting, and maintaining housekeeping standards. The representative will also build positive relationships with account management and buyers, maintain product knowledge, and ensure adherence to all stocking and display standards.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.
High School Diploma/GED.
Basic competency with basic iOS devices.
A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
Adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
Cooperation with all management and staff of GLWAS.
Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.
2 years sales experience.

Responsibilities

Timely stocking and product handling of all GLWAS merchandise shipped to assigned retail accounts.
Packing out all orders.
Pricing individual bottles.
Building displays.
Resetting shelf schematics.
Resetting cold box schematics.
Implementation of correct shelf and display signage.
Product rotation, fronting, and dusting.
Adherence to all shelf and other housekeeping standards.
Generate positive business building relationships with account management, buyers, owners, or persons in charge of making wine/beverage buying decisions.
Maintain good product knowledge on all GLWAS brands and take initiative to improve overall wine/beverage/category knowledge.
Constantly improve the appearance of GLWAS items when in an account.
Understand and execute shelf, display, and cold box standards of GLWAS and its Suppliers, as well as standards set by the account.
Ensure all shelf price tags are correct and in place at the beginning of every month.
Ensure all display prices are correct and placed with current pricing.
Maintain and place all current POS for all products.
Maintain and use reports, forms, and pre-plans.
