About The Position
TJ Maxx Merchandising Associates deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Associates follow operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. This position is at the TJ Maxx store at 6305 Mills Civic Pkwy, West Des Moines, Iowa. The starting pay range is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Ring customer purchases and returns accurately and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
