About The Position

As a Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree, you will join the Store Manager in leading a team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities served. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight while assisting with store operations and supporting the Store Manager with assigned merchandising and freight responsibilities.

The position also includes maintaining store standards and cleanliness, following company policies and safety guidelines, protecting company assets, and fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain the stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
• Promote a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Process the receipt and return of DSD merchandise, as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated merchandise, in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
