About The Position

As a Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree, you will join the Store Manager in leading a team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities served. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight, while assisting with store functions and day-to-day activities. You will also assist the Store Manager with assigned responsibilities involving merchandise, freight, and sales-floor execution. The position requires maintaining company standards for store areas, following policies and safety guidelines, protecting company assets, and supporting a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders. Requirements

Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height, and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Maintain the stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
Process corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other communications related to store activities.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and interact professionally and in a friendly manner with customers, associates, and leaders.
Process the receipt and return of DSD merchandise as assigned by the Store Manager.
Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
Order and stock merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items, in accordance with productivity standards.
Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
Perform other duties as assigned.
