About The Position

The Merchandiser is responsible for increasing store sales by creating and maintaining visual merchandise displays. The role calls for a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, changing retail environment. The Merchandiser is also expected to provide excellent customer service while carrying out additional responsibilities. Open availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full-time and part-time hours are available. Compensation is $12 per hour or commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Review priorities with the supervisor and discuss special instructions, product promotions, new products, and price changes to determine the schedule.
• Maintain store shelves by monitoring company product displays, removing damaged or freshness-dated products, tidying shelves, and ensuring products are optimally displayed.
• Restock shelves from inventory, monitor inventory levels, and prompt store management to reorder when levels appear low.
• Observe competitors’ product pricing.
• Observe customer reactions to special promotions, share observations with management, and remove promotions at the end of the promotion period.
• Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
• Take ownership of merchandising and organization responsibilities, respond to new requests, and identify opportunities to add value.
