About The Position

The Merchandiser presents products to attract consumers at customer retail locations and services and maintains multiple bulk accounts. The role involves merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines, as well as following plan sets and planograms and communicating with store management and cross-functional personnel. This route serves customers in Goldsboro, Mt. Olive, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between stores. The schedule flexes between Goldsboro and Mount Olive, with Wednesday and Thursday off.

Requirements

Effective listening, speaking, and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with customers who have different demands and expectations.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including repetitively lifting 50 pounds.
Ability to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
Critical thinking skills.
Valid in-state driver's license.
Excellent driving history.
Proof of an insurance policy verifying current liability and property-damage coverage of at least $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident/occurrence, and $50,000 property damage, with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on displays and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
Move products from the backroom and place them on display.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted.
Fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors, and check vendors for proper operation.
Organize and maintain the backroom by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor.
Arrange for the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged products, and out-of-date products to the branch.
Build and foster business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and discussions of upcoming activities.
