About The Position

The Merchandiser ensures the availability, visibility, and promotion of Coca-Cola beverages in retail stores across Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast’s territory. The role represents the Coca-Cola brand and supports business success by keeping beverage sections, displays, coolers, and other points of availability properly stocked and maintained. The position is scheduled Friday through Tuesday, with a 5:30–6:00 a.m. start time. Compensation is $20–$22.50 per hour. The role requires a valid driver’s license, a vehicle with insurance meeting company guidelines, and applicants to be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Ability to repetitively lift, push, and pull up to 40–55 pounds; reach above head height; squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to push and pull manual and powered material-handling equipment containing product loads for at least 100 yards without assistance.
Valid driver’s license, driving record within company policy guidelines, and insurance meeting or exceeding company requirements.
Valid driver’s license, vehicle with insurance within company guidelines, and minimum age of 18.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing, or a related field.
Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

Execute merchandising plans to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability in retail stores, including stocking shelves, rotating products, building displays, and maintaining product freshness.
Maintain product on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers by identifying replenishment needs.
Transport products between the backroom and display floor using manual equipment.
Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns according to company guidelines, including setting up promotional displays and signage.
Secure damaged or defective products and maintain a clean product space.
Ensure accurate product counts by managing backrooms and organizing backstock.
Operate manual and powered handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
Maintain assigned areas in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel.
Follow company and store policies concerning backrooms, display floors, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
Develop and maintain relationships with store managers and staff, collaborate to maximize merchandising opportunities, and provide customer service.
Write and place customer orders on an ad hoc basis as business needs require.
