About The Position

The Grader examines and evaluates donated goods for sale in Goodwill of North Georgia stores and online. The role supports the organization’s mission by helping turn donated items into job training for people facing barriers to employment. The position also involves processing goods to meet production goals and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Foster a healthy team culture focused on an exceptional guest experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
• Must be at least 18 years old to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift. Individuals aged 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods.
• Process goods effectively to meet daily production goals.
• Move between work areas as needed to support daily production goals.
• Identify and resolve problems quickly or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
