About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring a part-time Grader for its Rome store. The Grader examines and grades donated goods for sale in stores and online. Proceeds from donated goods help fund job training for people facing barriers to employment. The position supports daily production goals, contributes to a positive guest experience, and helps maintain a safe, organized work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Consistently foster a healthy team culture focused on exceptional guest experience.
Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
Must be at least 18 years old to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift. Individuals ages 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods.
Process goods effectively to meet daily production goals.
Move between multiple work areas to support daily production goals.
Identify and quickly solve problems or seek management support.

Perform work tasks according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
