About The Position

As a Merchandise Team Member, you will work in one of the 60 plus unique shops that call Silver Dollar City home. You will provide friendly, outgoing service to our guests and keep the shop clean and stocked properly. This role involves selling a variety of items including souvenirs, taffy, cinnamon bread, and custom-made furniture. This position starts 05/18/2026 and ends 08/16/2026. Must be at least 16 years of age.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Stand: Uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete.
  • Walk: Up/down steps, uneven and sloped surfaces, including to and from assigned employee parking and employees assigned work area.
  • Climb: Up/down stairs/ladders, uneven and sloped surfaces.
  • Lift/Carry: Up to 35 lbs.
  • Use fingers and hands to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Speak and hear clearly.
  • See: Near/far and depth perception.

Responsibilities

  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment as deemed necessary.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Assists guests by answering questions, providing product information, and other related services.
  • Stocks shelves, counters, and/or tables with merchandise.
  • Operates Point of Sale register following cash handling and credit card procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Picks up, removes and records amount of cash in register at beginning and end of shift.
  • Wraps and/or bags merchandise for customers.
  • Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.
