About The Position

The Merchandise Lead works in the gift shop at Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner and Show and helps coordinate gift shop and carriage room activities. The role supports guests, merchandise operations, and the Merchandise Manager, while also helping train and direct employees and uphold safety and compliance policies. The position may require cross-training for greeting, face painting, and carriage room duties, as well as assisting in other areas or departments when requested by management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid ABC permit.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to make judgments in emergencies and decisions based on facts and judgment.
Ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Greet guests entering the gift shop and inform them about products.
Operate a POS system and complete accurate transactions, including collecting payment.
Tag, stock, and organize gift shop merchandise.
Answer questions related to the performance.
Assist with cleaning duties in the gift shop and Saloon area as needed.
Cross-train or perform greeting, face painting, and carriage room duties as required.
Assist the Merchandise Manager with inventory counts and receiving merchandise and purchase orders.
Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; reward employees; address complaints; and resolve problems and conflicts.
Follow safety and compliance policies and ensure employees comply with them.
Assist in other areas or departments when requested by management.
Maintain professional relationships with guests and fellow employees.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
