About The Position

A Merchandise Handler plays a crucial role in the retail and distribution industry by efficiently handling and processing goods, ensuring accurate inventory management, and contributing to smooth supply chain operations. Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load, unload, sort, and move merchandise, packages, or products.
• Track, count, and record inventory using manual or electronic systems, and help maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling and documentation.
• Pick, pack, and prepare merchandise for shipping, ensuring orders are accurate and packaged to prevent damage during transit.
• Inspect merchandise for defects, damage, or inconsistencies, report issues to supervisors, and follow quality control procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including shelving, storage bins, and loading docks, and store merchandise safely and accessibly.
• Maintain accurate records of received and shipped merchandise, including serial numbers, SKU numbers, and other relevant information.
• Communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate merchandise handling and distribution.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
