About The Position
The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards and helping Associates process merchandise efficiently as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. The coordinator orchestrates truck deliveries and merchandise flow to the sales floor, trains and mentors Associates, monitors productivity, and communicates priorities and progress with management and Associates. The position also supports safety, shrink reduction, credit and loyalty programs, and compliance with store policies and applicable labor laws.
Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

- 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote honesty and integrity, and maintain confidentiality.
- Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Coordinate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and reprioritize as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
- Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates, and provide progress updates.
- Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
