About The Position

The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards and ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role helps deliver an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, a clean and organized store, and exemplary customer service. The Coordinator orchestrates truck deliveries and prioritizes processing merchandise onto the sales floor; trains and mentors Associates; monitors productivity and coaches as needed; and coordinates the flow of goods with the Coordinator on Duty. The role also supports store priorities, back-stock organization, merchandising and signage standards, backroom cleanliness and recovery, recycling and applicable hazardous-waste programs, compliance with labor laws and company policies, shrink-reduction goals, and a safe work environment. This position is at Marshalls Store 1573 in Pearl, Mississippi. The starting pay range is USD $13.50 to $14.00 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to applicable plan terms and service or hours eligibility requirements.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck deliveries and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous-waste programs.
Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
