About The Position

The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, a clean and organized store, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include coordinating truck deliveries, directing merchandise to the sales floor, training and mentoring Associates, monitoring team productivity, organizing back stock, and maintaining merchandising, signage, cleanliness, and recovery standards. The Coordinator also communicates priorities and progress with management and Associates, supports training and shrink-reduction efforts, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and helps maintain a safe and compliant work environment. This position is at the HomeGoods store at 1700 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The starting pay range is $14.25 to $14.75 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and reprioritize as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
