About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates support a positive store culture, promote credit and loyalty programs, process transactions and merchandise, maintain sales-floor recovery and cleanliness, and contribute to safety and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
