About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. This is a temporary seasonal position lasting 60–90 days, with open availability required. When needed, the associate must be available to arrive at 6:00 AM and to close at 11:00 PM during the holiday season.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including availability to arrive at 6:00 AM and close at 11:00 PM when needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
