Temp Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Temp Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and maintains merchandising, sales-floor recovery, organizational, and cleanliness standards. The associate also contributes to shrink reduction and safety programs, follows labor laws and company procedures, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and participate in maintenance and cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
