Temp Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Temp Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, processes purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and prepares merchandise for the sales floor. The role also includes store recovery, maintaining cleanliness and organization, participating in shrink-reduction and safety programs, and following labor laws and company policies. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
