Part-Time Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Part-Time Merchandise Associate at Marshalls is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes customer service, accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising products, and maintaining store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Associates support shrink-reduction efforts, contribute to a positive store culture, and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. The starting pay range is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to applicable plan terms and, for some benefits, service or hours requirements.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
