Part Time Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes merchandise for the sales floor; and helps maintain store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The role also supports shrink reduction, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is part-time at the Marshalls store at 10837 Olson Drive, Rancho Cordova, California. Starting pay is $16.90 to $17.40 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Cross-train and work in multiple store areas as needed to support business needs.
