About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and following the company’s customer experience principles. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment; follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards; and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and gives and receives recognition and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
