About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates uphold a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; process customer purchases and returns accurately; promote credit and loyalty programs; and prepare and merchandise products according to company procedures. The position also involves store recovery, maintaining cleanliness and organization, supporting shrink reduction and safety programs, and responding to feedback and changing situations. Other duties may be assigned. This is a part-time position at the Marshalls Store 1287 in Westwood, Massachusetts. The starting pay range is USD $16.25–$16.75 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and applying customer experience principles.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
