About The Position
Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield is hiring an experienced automotive technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The role involves working with luxury vehicles and advanced automotive systems, using modern diagnostic equipment, specialized tools, and technical service information. The technician is expected to deliver precise diagnostics and quality workmanship while supporting efficient service-team workflows and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The position offers $45–$56 per hour depending on experience, manufacturer training and technical resources, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development.
Requirements
- Professional automotive technician or mechanic experience.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
- Experience with modern automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and technical repair resources.
- Commitment to quality workmanship, productivity, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Mercedes-Benz dealership experience is strongly preferred.
- Relevant ASE certifications are a plus.
- Mercedes-Benz factory certifications and training are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic concerns.
- Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and other automotive repairs.
- Complete routine maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services.
- Use diagnostic scanners, specialized tools, and technical service information.
- Identify repair needs and ensure work meets Mercedes-Benz quality standards.
- Document repairs, inspections, and services accurately.
- Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to support efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Stay current with automotive technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer training.
