MEP Senior Field Coordinator
About The Position
Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Senior Field Coordinator to join their MEP Building Technology team for projects in Richmond, VA, Culpeper, VA, Ashburn, VA, Herndon, VA, and Manassas, VA. This is a full-time, in-person position. The role involves overseeing the coordination and installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems for complex projects, providing leadership to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors, and ensuring quality and compliance. The coordinator will also assist in developing and tracking schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program, managing punch lists, troubleshooting field engineering issues, and overseeing start-up and commissioning activities. Collaboration with project teams from pre-construction through close-out is essential, as is maintaining strong relationships with clients, design partners, trade partners, and vendors.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
- Proven ability to manage workforce requirements, monitor project progress, and resolve field engineering challenges.
- Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools and QA/QC processes.
Responsibilities
