About The Position

Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent to join its MEP Building Technology team on a project in Conesville, Ohio. This is a full-time, in-person position. The role oversees and coordinates MEP systems installation, supports project scheduling, quality and safety programs, and helps deliver systems through start-up, commissioning, and close-out. The position works closely with project teams, clients, design partners, MEP trade partners, and equipment vendors.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
• Ability to manage workforce requirements, monitor project progress, and resolve technical challenges.
• Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects, such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools, QA/QC processes, and commissioning protocols.
• Knowledge of safety programs and energy control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate MEP systems installation to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors throughout construction.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Monitor QA/QC programs and support the Energy Control and Safety Program.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and ensure challenges are resolved promptly using available resources.
• Support start-up and commissioning activities to ensure systems are operational and meet performance requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out.
• Maintain relationships with clients, design partners, and trade partners to foster collaboration and project success.
