About The Position

The Mental Health Worker provides direct patient care in accordance with treatment plans and under the direction of a professional nurse. The role also helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and participates in planning and evaluating patient needs based on observed behaviors. The position is on the Adult Co-Occurring Unit at the Baltimore/Washington Campus. New clinical staff begin extended clinical orientation and training immediately after their first day of employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Nice To Haves

• A degree related to human services, prior direct care experience, or related experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and evaluating patient needs based on patient behaviors.
• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
