About The Position

Athena Care has been offering high quality, accessible mental health care for over twenty years. We are an insurance-based practice growing across Tennessee, and we're looking for a therapist near Nashville to join our team. We offer psychological testing, IOP/PHP, Spravato/IM Ketamine, TMS, psychotherapy, group therapy, and general psychiatry. We are looking for someone who is curious about people, finds energy in working with a diverse patient population, and cares deeply about the humans sitting across from them. You should be fully licensed in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT) and ready to practice independently, but also value collaboration and good clinical conversation. We have worked hard to combine rigor and high-quality care with a fun and friendly work culture. Our staff aims to quietly take care of operations so you can stay focused on your patients. We strive to offer the ideal balance of a small group practice feel on the ground with strong business expertise and technology behind the scenes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Tennessee licensure in good standing (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT) or provisional licensure with ability to work under supervision.
• Prior experience providing mental health services preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Comfortable with EMR systems and standard tech tools.
• HIPAA-savvy and committed to ethical, patient-centered practice.

• Fully licensed in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT) and ready to practice independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient therapy to adults, adolescents, and/or children navigating behavioral health challenges.
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Complete progress notes and collaborate regularly with the broader care team.
• Keep documentation timely and accurate in our EMR.
• Maintain licensure.
• Act as a thoughtful, engaged member of the team.
