About The Position

This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or $4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency, provided upon completion of a probationary period. Under the general supervision of a Families Forward Supervisor and directly supervised by the Initiative Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the statewide Children’s Trauma Initiative, a statewide evidence-based practices (EBP) training initiative. The Specialist will work as part of a team to facilitate training and technical assistance to Community Mental Health Services Programs training in EBPs such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents. The specialist will also assist in the evaluation, fidelity monitoring, and sustainability efforts of the Initiative. This position is funded through a contract with MDHHS. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required or must be obtained within 60 days of application.
  • Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential required or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • One year of post Master’s experience with children and families within the past 6 years required.
  • Experience with Evidence Based Practices training required.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing required.
  • Ability to partner with a variety of professionals and caregivers.
  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks concurrently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license.
  • Access to reliable transportation for job-related use required.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
